Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. Diversity Summary

Diversity and inclusion are strategic imperatives at Volkswagen Group of America. We believe that our company will benefit from diversity through better relationships with our customers, dealers, employees and business partners.

Inclusion is a key element of our corporate visions to create a diverse culture of achievement, excitement, trust and teamwork.

We launched our formal corporate diversity initiative in 2001 with the appointment of a Corporate Diversity Leader.

Volkswagen Group of America is committed to our diversity and inclusion journey.  We will continue our efforts in the years to come with the goal of increasing the representation of diverse stakeholders among our customers, dealers, suppliers and employees.

Our basic approach to diversity is one of inclusion...all points of view and life experiences are valued.

Our goal is to become widely recognized as a company that:

  • values and respects the contributions of men and women of all backgrounds
  • embraces diversity of thought as a critical factor in its future success, and
  • substantially reflects the diverse population of the U.S.

Our Corporate Diversity Leader and a 23 member Diversity Council representing all levels, functions and diversity perspectives across the organization oversee the VWoA diversity effort.

The Diversity Council meets quarterly and it’s members serve as personal diversity champions; advising the organization on key diversity issues, and representing the initiative to internal audiences.
