Our Commitment to Our Communities

We take our corporate citizenship seriously and proudly support many charitable and not-for-profit organizations at work in America. Our philanthropic philosophy focuses on the well-being of the mind, body and communities in which we live.

Partners in Education

Volkswagen Group of America's Partners in Education program is a catalyst for educational enrichment, preparing today's students for the workforce of the future. Beginning in Virginia, new home to our corporate offices, and now expanding to Tennessee, the education partnership supports primary and secondary school, universities and a leading national laboratory. Our five-year commitment to this program is more than $7.5 million.

Philanthropy

Audi is the exclusive automobile sponsor of Best Buddies International, an organization that provides one-to-one friendships for people with intellectual disabilities.

Volkswagen is a proud corporate supporter of the VSA Arts — an international nonprofit organization founded to create a society where all people with disabilities learn through, participate in and enjoy the arts.

We also support other community, state, regional and national organizations such at MADD and March of Dimes.

Our Volunteer Day Program  provides paid time off for any of our 2,500 employees who take active, volunteer roles in community programs, as well as state and national charitable service or relief efforts.

And, we match employee donations dollar for dollar to charitable organizations, up to $5,000 per employee, with convenient payroll deductions for American Cancer Society, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Detroit Institute for Children, Rainbow Connection and the United Way.
