All-new Audi of America Media Site designed for 24/7 news
HERNDON, VA. — Audi of America has launched www.audiusanews.com — an all-new media website designed to provide journalists, bloggers and broadcasters the most current and relevant content to meet the demands of the 24/7 news cycle.
As of August 11, all visitors to Audi of America's outgoing media site will be automatically redirected to www.audiusanews.com, where only approved and logged-on members of the media may download high-resolution Audi images, access broadcast quality video, receive email news alerts and enjoy future site features. Audi invites all members of the press to re-register or create a new media profile by clicking www.audiusanews.com/register and complete the brief credentials form. Audi Communications will respond to all registration requests within one business day.
The urgency of today's virtually nonstop deadline pressure was the driving force behind www.audiusanews.com and its robust, yet straightforward user interface.
"When we talked to journalists we heard the message loud and clear," said Jeff Kuhlman, Chief Communications Officer, Audi of America. "They want uncluttered access to exactly the information they need with the minimal amount of searching to make their deadlines. I think they'll find it at AudiUSANews.com."
The site delivers critical data in multiple, logically related locations, with formatting options for downloading press releases; high, medium and low resolution photos; press kits and other documents. Past visitors to Audi AG's media site www.audi-mediaservices.com and to the U.S. consumer site www.audiusa.com will notice Audi's brand consistency is now extended to the look and feel of the new media site.
To simplify information gathering, every Audi model sold in the United States has been assigned a menu channel, which is conveniently found by mousing over the top navigation bar. Each channel houses the most recent press releases and photos for that particular model, but also includes a press kit containing product specifications, dimensions and pricing information.
High-quality video of Audi models, Motorsport, Audi heritage and other events can be found under the Videos channel. An enhanced archive of Audi of America images spanning back to the early 1970s is another upcoming feature of the site.
"As the Audi of America product line reflects, we're obsessed with technology and improvement through innovation," said Christian Bokich, Manager-Midwest and Product/Technology/Motorsports Public Relations "This equally applies to how we deliver information to journalists."
Only pre-approved members of the news media may access all news, photos and broadcast-quality video on www.audiusanews.com. To re-register or create a new media profile, go to www.audiusanews.com/register and complete the brief credentials form.
