Audi of America Brings Le Mans Legend Emanuele Pirro to Local PartNer Palisades Audi to Sign Mural Prior to July 12 American Le Mans Race

HERNDON, VA. — Audi of America, Inc. demonstrated its commitment to its dealer network by scheduling a surprise appearance by Le Mans racing legend and Audi factory driver Emanuele Pirro at Palisades Audi in Nyack, New York on Tuesday, July 8. Pirro visited the dealership to sign a mural of one of his racing triumphs from his storied 32-year career. Pirro's visit precedes the ALMS Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut on July 12, at which he will be driving Audi's R10 TDI diesel race car prototype. Visitors to Palisades Audi will be able to view the mural in the main showroom.
Emanuele Pirro has been a professional driver since 1976. Among his numerous professional accomplishments are winning the grueling Le Mans 24 Hour Race five times, including two times in Audi's diesel sports car, the R10 TDI and three times in the Audi R8.

The ALMS Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut is the fifth of 11 North American Le Mans races to be held in the United States and Canada in 2008. The next race will occur in Lexington, Ohio. Full details for the race are below:
