Auto Shanghai 2013 – World Premieres and Stars at the Volkswagen Group Night

At the Shanghai Auto Show, Volkswagen presented a stunning array of innovations and world premieres. Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves and Chinese star pianist Lang Lang also took in the spectacular sights at the Group Night in the Chinese metropolis. The exciting SUV-concept Volkswagen CrossBlue Coupé was the topic of the evening!

Volkswagen Group makes stable start to second quarter: Deliveries top three million vehicles* in period to April
The Volkswagen Group delivered 3.05 (January-April 2012: 2.89; +5.6 percent)* million vehicles from January to April, topping the three million mark for the first time for the first four months of a year. The company handed over 784,600 (April 2012: 731,900; +7.2 percent)* vehicles to customers in the month of April. “The Volkswagen Group and its brands made a satisfactory start to the second quarter”, Group Board Member for Sales Christian Klingler said in Wolfsburg on Friday.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars grows vehicle deliveries 5.3 percent to 1.91 million in period to April
The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand grew deliveries 5.3 percent in the first four months of the year, handing over 1.91 (January-April 2012: 1.81) million vehicles. The brand delivered 480,900 (April 2012: 456,100; +5.4 percent) vehicles to customers in the month of April.

Extensive Partnership between Volkswagen Group of America, the Museum of Modern Art and MoMA PS1 Renewed through 2015
The opening of EXPO 1: New York on May 12 marks the apex of the long-term partnership between Volkswagen Group of America, The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and MoMA PS1. On the occasion of EXPO’s opening, Hans Dieter Pötsch, Member of the Board of Directors Volkswagen Group of America; Glenn D. Lowry, Director of The Museum of Modern Art; and Klaus Biesenbach, Director of MoMA PS1, and Chief Curator at Large at MoMA, have announced that the partnership will be extended through 2015. The partnership was established in May 2011, originally for a period of two years.
